Ecuador rated as the best place to retire

Cuenca-Ecuador

Retiring often means that one can do all the things that one has always wanted to but could not, especially due to the lack of time availability and other necessary resources. This could mean going on exotic vacations or even relocating to another tranquil and laid back place. Given the pressures of work, relationship and life that many people face today, exploring the option of relocating to another tranquil location is definitely worth a try. One such good location for those retiring in the near future to relocate is Ecuador. Galapagos Island Ecuador, in particular, and all of Ecuador in general has always been looked as being the perfect retirement option for those wanting something exotic and yet affordable. Here are some reasons why this country has been chosen as a retirement haven by many:

  • Low cost of living: One of the primary concerns felt by many retirees is the high cost of living, which, given their lack of incoming resources, can be a problem. However, when in Ecuador, there is no such worry as the cost of living is fairly low. Properties are available at really low cost, whether for rent or for outright purchase. While a beachfront property on Galapagos Island Ecuador can be a little high, rural locations and other such places can be relatively cheap, making it possible for retirees live in relative comfort, without having to overspend.
  • Discounts on travel and eating: Another important factor, which adds to the charm of this location, is the fact that senior citizens often give discounts in Ecuador at various eating joints as well as travel options. So, if one wants to enjoy the Galapagos Island cruise, it can be done at a much lower cost, if the person in question is a senior citizen than if it were somebody still working. However, it is important to note that these Galapagos tours are not really that expensive in the first place.
  • Excellent health care facilities and benefits: One of the major advantages that most believe is the clinching factor is the fact that Ecuador has excellent healthcare facilities in the form of excellent high tech hospitals and well trained staff. Added to this is the fact that they have low premiums on health insurance, making it the perfect icing on the cake.

While all these factors are definitely reasons enough to opt for Galapagos island Ecuador as a retirement haven, the native beauty and breathtaking scenery that one will wake up to every morning is definitely worth mentioning as well.
